In the midst of the development of "Mass Effect Andromeda," senior development director Chris Wynn left the team working on the action role-playing third-person shooter and game studio Bioware altogether.

He announced his departure on his Twitter, where he also always posted about updates on the game.

"It is with a heavy heart today to say that I am moving on from Bioware and Mass Effect: Andromeda, and returning to the USA," Wynn tweeted. The game expert worked at the game studio's Montreal wing.

"The Andromeda team is the most talented team that I have ever worked with, truly inspiring to have worked with you each and every day," he said in another tweet. In the following post, he stated that he will excitedly wait for the release of "Mass Effect Andromeda" along with fans.

Bioware addressed Wynn's exit, in a statement a representative of the company provided to Game Informer. Describing him as "a great member of the team," the company expressed gratitude for Wynn's contributions.

"We want to thank him for his contributions and we wish him the best in his new adventures. Development of Mass Effect Andromeda continues to move full speed ahead at Bioware Montreal, Edmonton and Austin."

Wynn became a part of the Bioware team in July 2013, as stated in his LinkedIn profile. It is unclear, however, what the former "Mass Effect Andromeda" development director plans to do next, at least in the field of game development.

From Bioware's official statement, however, the work continues on the development of the much-awaited shooter game. It does not look like the shakeup behind the scenes impacted the overall plans for the title.

"Mass Effect Andromeda" is one of the most awaited games for next year. It was introduced in this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo. It is up for release on the PS4, Xbox One and PC on fall of 2016.

Not much is known about the game except that Commander Shepard, who led the space voyages in the "Mass Effect" trilogy, is no longer at the helm.
