"Mass Effect: Andromeda" lead designer Ian Frazier has recently opened up about the negative feedback on some of the game's elements.

BioWare's latest installment in the hit "Mass Effect" franchise, "Mass Effect: Andromeda," was not received very well when it was launched last month. Since then, BioWare has been continuously releasing patches to improve and fix some of the main problems in the game, including eye glitches and weird character faces.

Frazier caught up with International Business Times UK on Monday and he discussed how the development team and the folks over at BioWare deal with criticisms "Andromeda" received since its debut. The lead designer admitted that he spends a bit of his time browsing through various social media networks and forums, and he would be lying if he said seeing negative comments was easy.

"It's difficult because we do want to help, so you're out on Twitter and forums and stuff trying to troubleshoot issues or give people a hint on something they're struggling with," Frazier explained, adding, "But to do that, to help the fans and try to absorb the feedback to better steer what we do next, you have to wade through a lot of crap. And that part is not a lot of fun."

Meanwhile, it has been previously confirmed that downloadable content (DLC) for "Andromeda" will not be accessible via Season Pass. Even though the development team is gearing up to support the multiplayer mode, how the new solo updates will be released remains unclear.

So far, support has only come in the form of multiplayer APEX Missions which comprise ongoing story-based campaigns that introduce new playable characters, items and weapons. The fourth installment of the said campaign was launched last week, called "APEX Mission 04: Those Alien Artifacts Aren't for You."

Developed by BioWare Montreal and published by Electronic Arts, "Mass Effect: Andromeda," is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
