Netflix and Marvel recently announced that Rosario Dawson's character Claire Temple will return in the second season of "Daredevil."

Marvel TV head and executive producer Jeph Loeb made the announcement, saying: "After working with Rosario in the first season, we knew instantly that we had to have her back for our second. Claire Temple proved a fan favorite in Season 1, and we can't wait for fans to see all the plans we have for her next."

Claire Temple, also known as the Night Nurse, shared a special relationship with Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) when she attended to the crimefighter's wounds brought by some of his most brutal battles in the streets of the Hell's Kitchen neighborhood in New York City.

Aside from her role as Claire Temple, Dawson was also popularized by her stellar performances in other projects, like her portrayal of Persephone in "Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief," Gail in "Sin City: A Dame to Kill For," and Talia in "Fire with Fire."

But her return to "Marvel's Daredevil" is just a portion of the actress' agreement with the leading streaming service provider. According to Marvel.com, Dawson agreed to a bigger exclusive TV contract where she will also appear in several other Marvel-Netflix original series.

Some of the planned collaboration between Marvel and Netflix include "Marvel's A.K.A. Jessica Jones" that is set to premiere later this year, as well as "Marvel's Luke Cage" which will be released in 2016. The streaming service will also exclusively feature two other series from Marvel Television, namely "Marvel's Iron Fist" and "Marvel's Defenders," which will reportedly tie up all the main characters from the other Marvel series.

The first season of "Marvel's Daredevil" also featured Deborah Ann Woll, Vincent D'Onofrio, Elden Henson, Bob Gunton, Scott Glenn, and Toby Leonard Moore.

At the moment, Netflix and Marvel has yet to announce the official release date of "Marvel's Daredevil" season 2.
