Loyal viewers of "Married at First Sight" were no longer surprised with the decision of one couple to end their marriage toward the end of season 3.

During the first part of the season finale, Ashley Doherty announced that she has no plans to continue her marriage to David Norton after the filming of FYI's televised social experiment. Though fans were already expecting their marriage to end, David confessed to NY Post that he initially planned to give it a try.

David said in the interview that the main reason why their marriage would not work was because Ashley never felt any attraction to him in the first place. "I tried to be patient and show her that there is more to a partner than looks, but for some reason, she couldn't get past it," he said.

He also mentioned that he learned a lot during the entire filming of the experiment. "I thought this was the story of how I meet my wife. But in reality, this is just a chapter in the book," David stated.

But while Ashley and David already made their divorce announcement during the previous episode of "Married at First Sight" season 3, two other couples remain in limbo.

Vanessa Nelson and Tres Russell can be considered as the fan-favorite couple this season. They made a connection as soon as they met each other at the altar, and even became the only couple who consummated their marriage in season 3. However, the couple also experienced several hurdles in their relationship. Will they still want to continue their marriage after the cameras stop rolling?

Meanwhile, the decision of Samantha Role and Neil Bowlus about their marriage is still to be known after the first part of season 3 finale. At first, Sam revealed that she was not attracted to Neil. Yet she later on admitted that she already has a crush on her husband. Are they ready to begin their lives together after the show?

The last episode of "Married at First Sight" season 3 airs Tuesday, March 1, on FYI.
