The couples of "Married at First Sight" season 3 are making progress but this is not evident in Sam and Neil's marriage. In episode 8 titled "Breaking Down Barriers," the latter will feel a bit left out after moving to his new wife's home.

"I'm excited we're moving in to my townhouse," Sam said in the promo. Neil, on the other hand, does not necessarily share Sam's enthusiasm. This is because they share the place with a roommate. "There's no space for me. I feel like I'm a guest," Neil grumbled.

In the said "Married at First Sight" season 3 promo, Sam even went so far as to leave Neil to hang out with her roommate instead. Needless to say, Neil is very confused about what's going on. "What just happened? What is going on?" he said in the voiceover.

Sam and Neil haven't been the best newlyweds, at least compared to the other couples from the show. While their sense of humor somehow binds them, as per The Bitbag, their communication as husband and wife hasn't improved.

Sam thinks that her husband is very different when he is not in front of the camera. She does not seem willing to be personal with Neil, who, on the other hand, admits cameras rolling make him nervous. The next "Married at First Sight" season 3 episode should patch that up, with Dr. Joseph Cilona coming in to help each of the couples.

Tres and Vanessa, on the other hand, are doing great. While the latter's problem with her husband's playboy past still gets to her sometimes, she still learns to set that aside for the marriage to work. Tres, on the other hand, is doing his best to change his ways.

As for David and Ashley, things seem to be looking up. In the last episode, the former attempted to kiss his wife. Unfortunately, it does not look like Ashley is ready for that yet. This should be the second time she rejected a kiss from David.

"Married at First Sight" season3 episode 8 "Breaking Down Barriers" airs Jan. 19 on FYI.
