Strategy platforming game "Magibot" is coming to Steam on Dec. 18.

The game features an adorable robot as it makes its way through a variety of brightly colored environments. According to its Steam page: "Magibot combines the principles of a platform game and those of a strategy game. Wisely place the action blocks upstream before taking control of your character."

Unlike most platforming games, where players need to run and jump as quickly as they can to get to a certain objective, "Magibot" throws in strategic elements that reward players for taking their time and thinking things through before they act. Players will have to complete strategy segments to forward the game, and will have to finish these segments before proceeding to pilot the robot across the screen.

"Follow the adventures of ILO, a small magician robot sent by humans to a planet of last resort. With its pointed hat and Magic Book, Ilo explores a world full of hostile creatures to find the terraforming beacons. It makes its way using "magical" blocks. The powers to fly, stop time or pass through objects are all powers that will help it overcome obstacles and bravely continue its odyssey."

As ILO, players will be able to acquire nine different abilities to aid them in their quest.

Despite its simple presentation, the world of "Magibot" is one filled with things to discover and explore, players will make their way past 40 interactive puzzles, and not only that, they will be able to choose between two different game modes as well: puzzle and action.

Those looking for more strategy can play the game in puzzle mode, while those who want something less mind-bending and want to focus on the action and platforming can go into action mode.

"Magibot" was developed by Studio Baikin, and the official trailer was uploaded to the developer's YouTube channel on Nov. 20.
