Will Elizabeth McCord's (Tea Leoni) decision to ignore President Conrad Dalton's (Keith Carradine) advice bring them at odds with each other in the next episode of "Madam Secretary" season 2?

In the episode titled "The Doability Doctrine," McCord will choose to take the suggestion of the former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright regarding the proper negotiation to bring the kidnapped State Department employee back to safety instead of following the president's suggestions.

But McCord will not stop at anything to make sure that the government official will be safely rescued from the kidnappers in Afghanistan, even if it means that she will earn the ire of the most powerful man in the US.

The cameo appearance of Albright in the political drama series was first announced by Leoni on Twitter back in July, where she said that she was "beyond honored" to meet the first woman to be appointed in the position in the set of the series.

In a recent interview with InStyle, the critically acclaimed actress had nothing but good words when describing the former State Secretary.

"I got the chance to have breakfast with her and she was fascinating, whip smart, and so generous," Leoni shared during the interview. "There were aspects of her life that we were going to steal and she knew that going in. The idea that our show is making foreign policy more relatable is her dream come true."

Series showrunner Barbara Hall also talked about Leoni and Albright's interaction on set in an interview with The Wrap, saying that the actress was very impressed with Albright's preparedness for the shoot and was somehow intimidated to act opposite the legendary political icon. Hall also mentioned that Albright was initially offered to portray a role other than herself, but she refused.

Meanwhile, the episode will also feature the progress of Henry McCord's (Tim Daly) new mission as an intelligence handler by observing his Russian student who seems to be harboring deep anger for the United States. Will the Secretary of State's husband live up to the pressure of his new mission?

"Madam Secretary" season 2 episode 2 will air on Sunday, Oct. 11, on CBS.
