While Apple users who are planning to upgrade their MacBook products are expecting to see the device in retail shops sometime next year, there are new reports claiming that there is still a possibility of an earlier release date for the new MacBook Pro and MacBook Air, which can arrive before the end of 2015.

Reports claim that the next-generation MacBook products can still be released right in time for the holiday sales, or even as early as November before the annual Black Friday shopping event.

The change in the release dates of the devices could possibly stem from the poor sales performance of its previous laptop products. According to a report from Yibada, the MacBook product sales have declined by as much as 3.4 percent every year.

But while the official release dates for the next line of MacBook products from the Cupertino-based tech giant remain uncertain at the moment, several speculations about the devices' specs are starting to show up online.

Some of the most prevalent rumored specs linked to the new MacBook Air 2016 claim that there will be 13-inch and 15-inch display models, which appeal to both the young and the professional markets alike. It will also have an Intel Skylake-U chipset under the hood, the latest Type-C USB port, a better battery life, as well as the new OS X El Capitan.

The new version of Apple's ultrathin laptop line is also expected to be equipped with the new Force Touch technology, and it will be thinner compared to the previous MacBook Air release.

The MacBook Pro 2016 will have the same specs under the hood. However, the high-end laptop product from the Cupertino tech firm will have bigger RAM capacities compared to the MacBook Air.

Apple is expected to reveal the actual release date of the two new MacBook devices in the coming days.
