After Apple confirmed that it will hold a special press event in their California campus next week, gadget watchers and tech analysts are looking forward to seeing if the rumored next-generation Mac Pro and MacBook Air will finally be unveiled.

According to reports, the Oct. 16 event in Apple's own campus in Cupertino will be the venue for the reveal of the tech company's new line of products, including the so-called iPad Pro, the iPad Air 2, and its newest operating system called OS X Yosemite.

But gadget enthusiasts are also hoping to find a new upgrade in the tech firm's laptop line.

ARS Technica reported earlier that the company will come up with the new Macs alongside the OS upgrade. If the reports prove to be accurate, then the next-generation Macs will run using Haswell-EP CPUs instead of the usual Intel Broadwell that came with the earlier versions of Apple computers.

Also, there are never-ending speculations about the release of the alleged MacBook Airs and Retina iMacs, which will hopefully be addressed in the upcoming event.

Aside from these personal computers from Apple, there are also reports saying that the larger version of Apple tablets called iPad Pro will be unveiled next week. It is said that the alleged 12.0-inch iPad Pro will be available in the market sometime next year. It will feature the latest A8X chipset that is also offered in the new iPhone versions.

Meanwhile, MacRumors reported that the new iPad Air 2 will feature "anti-reflective coating for the cover lens, full lamination for the touch panel, a gold-coloured metal casing, an A8 processor, Touch ID/fingerprint recognition and an 8-megapixel rear camera."

It may also have a bigger 2 GB RAM with Touch ID features that was seen earlier on iPhone 5s. The new iPad Air 2 will also have a slimmer case compared to its predecessor.

No confirmations have been offered by Apple about these speculations as of the moment, but everyone is hoping that these will be addressed during the Oct. 16 event.
