Filming for the fifth season of "Longmire" has finally wrapped up, in time for the show's release on Netflix this fall.

Though the entertainment streaming service provider has yet to announce the show's official release date, fan-dedicated Twitter account @LongmirePosse revealed that Netflix will drop "Longmire" season 5 in September.

Meanwhile, the cast celebrated their last day on the set.

Lou Diamond Phillips showed how he spent the last moments on the set by hanging out at The Red Pony, the bar owned and managed by his character Henry Standing Bear. Katee Sackhoff, on the other hand, showed that her character Vic Moretti was wearing a large cowboy hat on the set during the last day of filming this season.

Meanwhile, Phillips also addressed the rumors that the crime drama series based on the best-selling mystery novels by Craig Johnson will end after season 5.

When asked by a fan regarding the speculations about the cancellation of the series, the actor claimed that the rumors are not true.

"Longmire" had been cancelled by its original network A&E after season 3 despite its critical success. But the strong fan base encouraged Netflix to pick up the series for its fourth and fifth seasons.

But while waiting for the release of season 5, "Longmire" fans will hold their annual Longmire Days event from July 8 up to July 10.

The public event, which includes a parade, episode screenings, and autograph signing with the book author will take place in Buffalo, Wyoming. The list of cast members who will attend the festivities is yet to be revealed, but lead stars Robert Taylor, Sackhoff, and Phillips are expected to be present to celebrate the fifth annual Longmire Days event.

The release date for the fifth season of "Longmire" is expected to be announced in the coming days.
