'Longmire' season 4 filming updates: Katee Sackhoff in New Mexico to resume role as Vic

The excitement about "Longmire" season 4 is starting to build up as more news about the production of the highly anticipated installment of the Western-inspired crime drama continues to spruce up online.

Katee Sackhoff, the actress who portrays the role of Victoria "Vic" Moretti, recently shared on her Twitter account that she already landed in Santa Fe, New Mexico to film the fourth season of "Longmire."

Lou Diamond Phillips, who plays the role of Henry Standing Bear in the show, also constantly updates fans about the developments in the "Longmire" production. In one of his latest posts, Phillips shows a photo where he had to sunbathe to make himself tan.

Sackhoff and Phillips are just two of the main cast members who are currently filming the show's fourth season, which almost did not happen because A&E decided to cancel the series after its third season. The network decided not to renew the series despite the critical and audience success because it does not fit with the cable channel's audience demographics. Netflix decided to pick up the show after fans lobbied and petitioned for any network to air it to tie up the loose ends left during the end of "Longmire" season 3.

Earlier spoilers for "Longmire" season 4 stated that Sheriff Walt Longmire (Robert Taylor) will try to find out who really killed his wife, while his daughter Cady (Cassidy Freeman) deals with the fact that her mother died because of murder and not because of cancer as she was earlier told.

At the moment, Netflix has yet to release the official airing date for "Longmire" season 4, as well as the other plot details and casting news about it. But fans are expected to learn more about the show as production progresses.
