The production for "Longmire" season 5 is set to begin this March. Cast member Lou Diamond Phillips, who plays the beloved role of Henry Standing Bear in the Netflix series, revealed that filming will commence soon.

Expressing his gratitude to a fan who binge-watched "Longmire," Phillips tweeted out, "Thanks so much! We start filming Season 5 in about a month!" The unexpected drop of information had fans all the more excited for the return of the series.

With filming just around the corner, it is highly likely that "Longmire" season 5 episodes will be released on Netflix by September. During the same month last year, the streaming giant uploaded season 4 episodes.

Meanwhile, there are rumors regarding Walt's romantic affairs in "Longmire." Rumor has it that romance between Walt and Vic will flourish come "Longmire" season 5. [Spoiler Alert!] In the books written by Craig Johnson where the show is based, Vic and Walt end up in each other's arms.

When "Longmire" season 4 ended, however, Walt and Donna were the ones all over each other. But if the show will follow the source material, this romance will meet its end soon to give way to Walt and Vic's love affair.

However, it looks like Walt will have his eyes on Donna for a while. Vic, on the other hand, still has issues to deal with involving her husband. At the moment, Walt even feels weird about Vic and their relationship as co-workers. Vic, at the same time, feels the need to sort it out.

For now, it looks like the stars haven't aligned for these two to fall in love yet. But should the books take over, expect a Vic and Walt romance in "Longmire."

Netflix is yet to provide official details on the premiere of "Longmire" season 5 but the new season is expected to drop in September.
