One of the guest characters from "Longmire" season 2 is set to appear in the show's fourth season.
J. Michael Trautmann, the actor who portrayed the role of Trey in the second season of the show confirmed that his character will return in the fifth episode of the upcoming season by posting behind-the-scene images of himself in his Instagram account.
In his first post, Trautmann showed a selfie of himself looking worn-out, with the caption, "Early call today; I'm so tired... #Longmire." The next one is another photo wherein he is wearing Trey's wardrobe. However, the actor and the people behind the show have yet to expound about why his character will return after several seasons.
The cast and crew are currently filming in New Mexico after the series was picked up by streaming service provider Netflix.
In August last year, A&E cancelled the critically acclaimed series from their network despite its huge following because it does not fit with the network's target demographics. However, Warner Horizon Television was compelled to offer the Western-inspired crime drama to other networks because of the strong demand from the fans, who almost broke Twitter when the series was first cancelled.
Currently, Netflix is offering the third season of the show as part of this month's program in preparation for the season 4 premiere this fall.
Earlier spoilers for the show claimed that season 4 will feature the plot wherein Absarokah Sheriff Walt Longmire (Robert Taylor) looks for the person who killed his wife, while his daughter Cady (Cassidy Freeman) deals with the truth regarding her mother's death after her father lied to her about it.
"Longmire" season 4 will show the return of fan-favorite characters including Longmire's trusted friend Henry Standing Bear (Lou Diamond Phillips) as well as homicide detective Victoria Moretti (Katee Sackhoff).
The official release date of "Longmire" season 4 has yet to be revealed by Netflix.
