'Longmire' season 4 update: Fans set to gather before show premieres

Longmire season 4 Netflix

The production for the fourth season of "Longmire" officially wrapped up. Now, fans of the show are looking forward to this weekend for the return of the biggest fan festival dedicated to Warner's Western-inspired crime procedural drama.

The preparations for the event, dubbed as Longmire Days, are now in its final stages as the date draws nearer. The festival dedicated to the critically acclaimed crime drama will begin on Friday, July 17, and will culminate on Sunday, July 19. It will be held in Buffalo, Wyoming, where the events in the series and Craig Johnson's bestselling "Walt Longmire Mysteries" novels are set.

The festival will screen previous episodes from the first three seasons of "Longmire" at the Buffalo Theater on Friday, starting 9 a.m. up to 3 p.m., while an autograph signing event that features the stars of the show will also happen on the same day, starting from 10 a.m. up to 2 p.m. at the Bomber Mountain Civic Center.

The author of the books on which the series is based will join lead actor Robert Taylor and series advisor Marcus Red Thunder in several panel appearances during that day as well.

On Saturday, several screening schedules and autograph sessions will also take place, as well as several fun events like some Native American performances. Meanwhile, the Motorcycle Poker Run will be attended by actor Adam Bartley, who portrays the role of The Ferg, and Zahn McClarnon, who plays Mathias in the series. This event will take place in the afternoon, and it will be followed by a Poker Game at the Red Pony from 6 to 11 p.m. at the Cowboy Carousel Center.

Johnson and Taylor will return on Sunday to close the festivities, complete with a charity concert and a barbecue party with the Bob Barnes Band and the rest of the "Longmire" cast at the South Fork Mountain Lodge.

"Longmire" was one of the highest rating shows of A&E but the network cancelled the series after its third season. Netflix picked up the series' fourth season, which will be aired this fall.
