Popular choice-based narrative adventure game "Life Is Strange: Before the Storm" recently released its final episode on December 2017. Fans were distraught by the game's rather shocking ending — a call back to the sequel and how deuterogamist Rachel Amber eventually goes missing.
The sudden dark call back at the end of the prequel left fans reeling, but thankfully, that will not be the last they see of protagonist Chloe Price. On March 2018, "Life Is Strange: Before the Storm" will be releasing one last bonus episode. Titled "Farewell" the bonus episode will take place before both "Life Is Strange" and "Life Is Strange: Before the Storm." It will take players back to a time before Max moved to Seattle and gained time powers, and before Chloe met Rachel and got involved with Frank and Damon.
On Feb. 7, the official "Life Is Strange" Twitter account posted an announcement stating that the final episode would arrive on March 6. The announcement included a short trailer, featuring behind-the-scenes voice acting for the final episode. Fans were especially excited to learn that Ashley Burch — Chloe's original voice actor — would be returning for the final episode.
Burch was not able to voice Chloe in "Life Is Strange: Before the Storm" due to an ongoing voice actor strike back then. Fortunately, for "Farewell," Burch has returned alongside Hannah Telle (Max's voice actor).
The behind-the-scenes trailer, while short, shows both Burch and Telle reciting lines for Max and Chloe. Burch goes on to state that "Farewell" will feature a much happier time in Max's and Chloe's lives — a more innocent time before the time-rewinding powers came to be, and before calamity struck Arcadia Bay.
"Life Is Strange" was first released in 2015. Developed by Don't Nod Entertainment, the game earned a massive following and a lot of popularity due to its narrative and interesting time-travel mechanics. The prequel titled "Life Is Strange: Before the Storm" was released on Sept. 2017.
