Narrative adventure game "Life is Strange: Before the Storm" released its third and final episode on Dec. 20, 2017. The game — being a prequel of "Life is Strange" — ended on a somber note, with the disappearance of Rachel Amber. While it is made clear in the first game that Rachel goes missing and is murdered, it did not stop fans from all over the globe from feeling heartbroken over the way the prequel ended. Thankfully, a happy bonus episode is slated for a March 6 release.

Titled "Farewell," the episode takes place before both the events of "Life is Strange" and "Life is Strange: Before the Storm." The game is set several years prior to the prequel, back when Max and Chloe were best friends and before Max moved away to Seattle and forgot about Chloe.

Unfortunately, the episode "Farewell" can only be played by those who purchased the "Life is Strange: Before the Storm" deluxe edition. The bonus chapter, while not necessary to the game's plot, gives players a closer glimpse of Max and Chloe's friendship before Rachel went missing and before Max realized she had time powers. It offers one last look at the good old childhood days before things went wrong and before Chloe's downward spiral began.

"Farewell" is an episode about Max and Chloe saying their goodbyes before Max moves away, a final attempt to wrap up the game's narrative and provide fans with the much needed happiness and closure they have been looking for.

A behind the scenes video of the bonus episode was uploaded to PlayStation's YouTube channel on Dec. 30, 2017. Aside from giving fans a glimpse of what is to come, the video also confirms that Ashley Burch (Chloe's original "Life is Strange" voice actor) and Hannah Telle (Max's voice actor) would both be returning to voice Chloe and Max in this final episode. Burch was unable to voice Chloe in "Life is Strange: Before the Storm" because of a voice actors' strike she was participating in.

"Life is Strange" was first released in 2015. Developed by Don't Nod Entertainment, the game earned a massive following and a lot of popularity due to its narrative and interesting time travel mechanics. The prequel titled "Life is Strange: Before the Storm" was released in September 2017.
