South Korean consumer brand LG Electronics announced the release of their new wearable product line called the LG Watch Urbane early this week. It is reportedly the first smartwatch to come with an all-metal luxury design matched with chic leather straps.

LG Electronics president and CEO Juno Cho described the stylish aesthetics of their upcoming product in a news release posted at the LG Newsroom.

Cho said, "The LG Watch Urbane's classic design and smart features make it the perfect smartwatch to complement our G Watch and G Watch R, which were designed as more casual and active devices."

The new LG smartwatch is reportedly equipped with the 1.3-inch full circle P-OLED display that was featured in the LG G Watch R. However, the new device comes with a relatively narrower bezel to make it look minimalist. The device will be available in either the polished silver or gold finish, and it will be handsomely matched with a natural leather strap to provide a sleek, elegant look. But for those who want to stand out, they have the option of changing the strap with any band that is 22 mm wide to match the owner's unique mood.

The LG Watch Urbane is also equipped with a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset, a 4 GB eMMC/ 512 MB LPDDR2 memory, Sensors: 9-Axis sensors like Gyro/Accelerometer/compass and Barometer, a heart rate sensorm as well as a 410 mAh battery. The new dust- and water resistant smartwatch device also comes with the Android Wear operating system.

For the LG's main man, the new product is a breakthrough in the wearable device market.

"LG Watch Urbane is an important part of our strategy to develop wearable devices that are worn and viewed as everyday accessories, not electronic gadgets." Cho stated.

LG's latest smartwatch, which is the next wearable product after the LG G Watch R, is planned to be officially unveiled during the brand's scheduled slot at the 2015 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
