LG is putting its flagship G7 smartphone on hold for the time being, and the South Korean tech firm has not yet revealed its plans for the handset's brand-new design. Still, a visual artist has come up with his own take on the LG G7 render, taking all the rumored features and specs of the upcoming device into consideration. The most noticeable part of the concept image is the bezel-less display and the notch area on the top display, akin to the iPhone X design.

The latest concept renders for the LG G7 was made by Ben Geskin in cooperation with TechnoBuffalo. The concept images are based on the recent leaks regarding the smartphone. Moreover, visualizing the LG G7 is not very challenging, especially that the handset is expected to use the same elements of the 2016 LG V30. The images show that the LG G7 will sport a 6-inch organic light-emitting diode (OLED) display with a resolution of 3,120 x 1,440 pixels. The aspect ratio used for this device is 19:5:9, which is the same ratio used by Apple's current iPhone flagship.

The LG G7 concept render descriptions suggest that the flagship device will be powered by Qualcomm's latest high-end mobile processor, the Snapdragon 845. To note, the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Sony Xperia XZ2 have already been featured using the Snapdragon 845 chipset under the hood. Furthermore, the LG G7 is expected to have 4 GB and 6 GB random-access memory (RAM) options, as well as 64 GB and 128 GB built-in storage.

In spite of the LG G7 concept images showing an iPhone X-like notch, it remains to be seen if LG will actually adopt the same facial-recognition technology of Apple. The iPhone X notch contains the required sensors for the Face ID, while the LG G7 concept renders have none of these. Although, the images suggest that the LG G7 will boast a dual-lens camera setup.

Interestingly, LG has reportedly showcased a so-called G7 Neo behind closed doors at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018. The mystery handset was shown to have the same notch feature on the top display, and it is also packed with the Snapdragon 845 chip. Still, it is not likely that this prototype handset will turn out to be the actual LG G7 smartphone.
