Since LG unveiled its newest line of phablets during this year's CES 2015 event in Las Vegas early this month, the world has been eagerly awaiting the public release of the new LG G Flex 2 smartphone.

According to rumors, the new product from the Korean mobile manufacturer will be released in the U.K. sometime in February via Vodafone, which is why the U.S. market is also waiting for the release of the product around the same time.

Although the U.S. release date is still unannounced, LG came up with a new promotional video for the G Flex 2 that is longer compared to the one shown during the 2015 CES event. The video claims that the upcoming product's curved screen can provide an extensive viewing experience. It also highlights the alleged feature of the LG G Flex 2 that can heal scratches on its body in less than 10 seconds. This feature is reportedly better compared to its predecessor, which claims that it can heal scratches in minutes.

The second generation of LG's G Flex phone comes with a 5.5-inch screen that measures 149.1 x 75.3 x 7.1-9.4 millimeters and weighs 152 grams. This is slightly smaller compared to the first LG G Flex, which was released with a 6.0-inch display.

The phablet also comes with a 13-megapixel primary camera with optical image stabilization to help it produce better photos, just like the one featured in the company's flagship phone, the LG G3. Both these devices have the capacity to take clear photos under low-light conditions.

Other specs of the new LG G Flex 2 include a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset with 3 GB of RAM. It also has a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera for selfie shots.

LG is expected to announce the release date of the LG G Flex 2 in the U.S. and international markets in the coming days.
