A new member of Rip Hunter's time-traveling crew will reportedly be introduced in the "Legends of Tomorrow" season 1 finale.

According to TV Line, the ragtag group following Vandal Savage through time and space will welcome a "beloved superhero from the DC canon."

This DC Comics personality will show up in the "Legends of Tomorrow" season 1 finale with a "mysterious agenda," which will also be the "launching point" for the new season.

At the moment, there is virtually no information on the identity of the superhero gracing "Legends of Tomorrow." The guesses range from Booster Gold to Vixen, who appeared in "Arrow."

The former is more likely to emerge simply because of his time-traveling background. The iconic DC Comics character is known as a superhero from the 25th century who makes use of ultra-modern equipment in fighting baddies.

When "Legends of Tomorrow" was first announced, actor Franz Drameh was speculated to become Booster Gold until, of course, he was revealed to play the role of one half of Firestorm.

However, fans are still hoping that Booster Gold will be appearing in the series, and with time traveling at the heart of the show, the hero will fit easily and nicely in "Legends of Tomorrow."

The more ambitious theories about the mystery character appearing in "Legends of Tomorrow" season 1 finale include DC greats like Batman or Superman, which seem very unlikely at the moment.

On the other hand, fans who are worried about the cast of the show being replaced in the second season can now breathe.

An unnamed producer has confirmed to TV Line that the ATOM, Firestorm, White Canary, Hawkgirl, Captain Cold, Heat Wave and Rip Hunter are not going anywhere.

"Our team for season 2, if not in the [physical] makeup of the team, will be changed in the way that [the characters] will be different [people]," the producer said.

This means that the members of the Waverider crew will change or feel different simply because of the experiences they get in tracking down Savage.

"Legends of Tomorrow" season 1 finale airs May 19. The show returns with episode 9 "Left Behind" on March 31.
