Will The CW bring back John Constantine?

Though NBC cancelled the DC TV series "Constantine" early this year, actor Matt Ryan still managed to reprise his role as John Constantine in the fourth season of The CW's "Arrow." And according to a report from Bleeding Cool, there is a chance to see the demon hunter in the sophomore season of the still-unreleased superhero TV series "Legends of Tomorrow."

The website mentioned that a source revealed that The CW is planning to switch the cast and missions of the "Legends of Tomorrow" after each season, and Ryan's character is being tapped to be one of the characters who will appear in the show's sophomore season.

The report stated that the "Legends of Tomorrow" was initially planned as a TV anthology, where each cast and mission will vary after each season. Back in July, series showrunner Phil Klemmer talked about the future of the show during an interview with Screen Rant, saying that the upcoming series will not have the same format as its sister shows "Arrow" and "The Flash" because they want it to be constantly evolving,

"It's an anthology show. This is not designed to go forever. This season is meant to be standalone... I mean not as anthological as 'True Detective.' But not everybody will be continuing on this journey," Klemmer explained.

He also discussed his views on the central plot of the series. "The sort of central premise of time travel and Vandal Savage is totally up for grabs. This is meant to be a season that is tightly serialized that, when it's over, you can't go home again. It's not going to begin Season 2 with us all hopping back on the same ship and like 'Let's get Vandal! Let's get him for real this time!' This is not traditional episodic television," the series showrunner explained.

This means that fans need to verify the rumors first regarding the crossover of John Constantine to The CW series.

"DC's Legends of Tomorrow" is slated to premiere on Jan. 21, 2016.
