'Legend of Korra' season 4 release date soon: Waiting period for Book 4 to be briefest

The Legend of Korra Season 4 title has been finally revealed by Nickelodeon, and the network teased that the final book of the series is coming a lot sooner than expected.

According to the network's official Twitter account, the title for The Legend of Korra season 4 will be "Balance."

Both the official Tumblr account of the show called Korra Nation and the personal blog of series co-creator Bryan Konietzko pushed the fans to "Get ready!" for the next season by reposting the image.

However, Konietzko took his announcement a notch higher, adding the word "Soon!" to probably address the questions regarding the release date of the new season.

Both Konietzko and his co-creator Mike DiMartino had released a statement previously about the status of Book 4. According to them, that phase is already completed, and the final season of the show is now being adapted into the animation phase.

Because of that, the fans are speculating that the waiting period between Book 3 (Change) and Book 4 will be the briefest in the history of the series.

Most fans believe that the title "Balance" is the most fitting choice for the conclusion of the series. According to Hypable, "Balance – physical, spiritual, and on a global level – has been a powerful theme going back to the original Avatar: The Last Airbender series, but Korra's recent struggles in Book 3 have perhaps encapsulated this idea most vividly."

There are reports saying that the final book of The Legend of Korra series will be aired sometime in January or February 2015 in Australia, but American fans could have the opportunity to catch the series at a much earlier date, which is probably by the end of the year.

Though the developers and Nickelodeon have yet to make an announcement for the official release date of Book 4, fans are now keeping their fingers crossed for an earlier release date to watch the conclusion of their favorite animation series.
