Lamar Odom to release tell-all book about drug abuse, marriage with Khloe Kardashian and basketball career

Lamar Odom is baring it all.

The National Basketball Association (NBA) star is in the process of working on a book about his life, according to Us Weekly. It is said to cover his marriage with Khloe Kardashian, drug abuse and NBA career. "Lamar just wants to put his truth out there because there have been so many lies written about him," a source told the media outlet. "He just wants to set the record straight.

Additionally, the insider stressed that the book is not intended to show Kardashian and her famous family in a bad light. "There might be some things in the book that the family doesn't want out there, but Lamar isn't doing this to hurt them, continued the source. "Lamar is happy for Khloé, but it's bittersweet because even after all this time, he still loves her. But he recognizes that she had no other choice but to move on from him."

Odom, 38, and Kardashian, 33, tied the knot in September 2009 after a one-month whirlwind romance. Their relationship was documented on "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," and they even had their own spinoff show called "'Khloe and Lamar." The duo announced their split in December 2013.

Things between them did not end there, though. Kardashian decided to postpone their divorce after Odom had a close brush with death in 2015 due to a drug overdose. It was then finalized in December 2016. Kardashian is now happily dating Cleveland Cavaliers player Tristan Thompson and she is pregnant with their first child.

In January 2017, Odom talked about his overdose and how Kardashian stayed by his side throughout the ordeal. He went on to say Kardashian was with him at the hospital when he finally woke up from the coma. At the time, Odom said he was still hoping to rekindle his relationship with the "Revenge Body" host, stating, "I want my wife back. I just want to live a healthy happy life."
