Looks like the fans who are eagerly waiting to see a new trailer for "Kingdom Hearts 3" will be in for a little disappointment, after new reports claimed that there will be no new releases for the upcoming action-role playing game anytime soon.

Early this month, several rumors came out saying that Square Enix will release a new "Kingdom Hearts 3" trailer alongside the latest trailer for the new "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue" online on Nov. 3. However, the expected trailer was not released.

Fans were obviously disappointed when they did not get the new trailer, but the game developer did not explain why it did not release the highly anticipated promo clip for "Kingdom Hearts 3." It turns out that the earlier announcement about the trailer release date was just a hoax, and Square Enix's Dan Seto released a statement regarding the incident on an official Square Enix forum.

"Come on guys you should know better than to trust news reports that don't even have any sources! We never announced that any trailer would be released and in general you should be more cautious about rumours. We also sort of did release an official statement/message."

However, the developer released a statement on Twitter promising that it will release more information about the game once it becomes available.

The highly anticipated 11th installment from the "Kingdom Hearts" series is allegedly developed to have the same gameplay as its predecessors, particularly "Kingdom Hearts 2" and "Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance."

It will allegedly be the first installment from the long-running franchise that will be offered in an Xbox One edition, since all the previous ones were only released on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.

The game is allegedly set after the events that happend during the end of "Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance," where Sora will return to look for the seven guardians of the light with his friends Riku, King Mickey, Donald Duck, and Goofy. The group will also search for the "Key to Return Hearts" to be able to stop the evil plan of Master Xehanort to start a second Keyblade War.

Aside from these characters, other iconic Disney icons like Baymax and Rapunzel will also appear in the upcoming game.

There is no official release date yet for "Kingdom Hearts 3."
