The guessing game continues for the gender of Kate Middleton's second child with Prince William amidst reports that the Duchess of Cambridge will give birth to a baby girl.

E! News had a word with a palace spokesperson, who said that the royal couple still has no idea what the sex of their upcoming baby is at the moment. This is contradictory to a report published by OK! Magazine, saying that a credible source shared the information that Kate is having a baby girl.

"Kate and William found out they were expecting a girl during the 21-week scan," the alleged palace insider told the magazine.

The source also added several details about what the couple plans to name their supposed baby girl, saying that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are thinking of using traditional British monarchy names like Mary or Elizabeth or picking something that means a lot to them.

However, the couple have allegedly decided to name their unborn baby girl Diana, after William's late mother.

Earlier reports stated that Queen Elizabeth may not approve of the baby girl's name if it will be after her son's estranged wife, but OK!'s source said that the queen is now keen on that idea, saying that Diana was an amazing mother to William and his brother Harry when she was alive.

The source also mentioned that naming the soon-to-be born princess after the iconic British royalty is actually Kate's idea, because she wants to have her mother-in-law's legacy of doing amazing charity work to live on.

"They decided then and there that no matter what anyone said, they were sticking to naming their baby girl after her late grandmother," the source shared.

Still, the British palace refuses to confirm the alleged validity of the source. It means that the gender of Prince George's sibling is still uncertain at the moment.

The rumors about having another baby boy surfaced earlier, after royal watchers made the speculations when the duchess was seen wearing the color blue in two consecutive public appearances.

Kate Middleton is currently on her seventh month of pregnancy, and is due to give birth in April.
