"Counting On" 20-year-old star Joy-Anna Duggar Forsyth gave birth to Gideon Martyn, her first child with her husband 24-year-old Austin Forsyth on Feb. 23.

Austin and Joy announced the news on the Duggar Family website. The couple wrote that Gideon arrived on Feb. 23 at 3:39 p.m. Austin and Joy's first child weighs 10 lbs, 3 ounces and is 22 inches long.

The two recently faced criticisms after the two posted an Instagram photo of themselves together with Joy's father-in-law, Terry Forsyth, flying to Mississippi to attend a family friend's wedding during Joy's seventh month of pregnancy. Inquisitr, however, pointed out that most airlines recommend pregnant women to avoid flying after their 32nd week. Moreover, the website also highlighted that Austin is a licensed pilot and will have been hesitant to fly if his wife and his child is in danger.

In Touch Weekly reported that there had been rumors that the two engaged in pre-marital sex. Fans have commented on the size of Joy's baby bump, with some insisting that was tricking fans by posting old photos. Another fan cleared up the air and said that if the two conceived a baby on their honeymoon, the baby should be due late February or early March.

Joy and Austin had been friends for 15 years before they entered into courtship. The two met after Austin's family moved to Arkansas and started attending the Duggar's church. The two tied the knot on May 2017 at Cross Church in Rogers, Arkansas after a three-month-long engagement. The two went to Switzerland for their honeymoon. In August of the same year, the couple announced that they were expecting their first child together.
