One of Joey Feek's prayers was answered this week after getting the chance to see her daughter Indiana turn two.

The country singer was diagnosed with cervical cancer in May 2014, just a few months after she gave birth to baby Indiana, on Feb. 17. Then in October 2015, she announced that her cancer was already terminal and decided to stop all treatments. In November, her husband and musical partner Rory Feek posted on his blog that Joey will receive end-of-life hospice care in their home in Alexandria, Indiana.

After learning that she only has several months to live, Joey admitted that her only wish was to be alive until her daughter's second birthday. And this came true on Wednesday.

Rory posted a photo of Joey and Indiana on Facebook as they commemorated her big day, and wrote: "...some birthdays are more than just birthdays. They're dreams coming true and prayers being answered." The mother and daughter looked very happy as they celebrate the toddler's birthday.

He shared another photo and a video showing how they celebrated their daughter's birthday. One of them was taken while Indiana was having her birthday breakfast with the country duo's tour bus driver Russell, whom she calls Uncle Russdriver, while the video shows Indiana giggling after waking up for her special day.

In a blog post posted on Feb. 12, Rory shared how they planned to celebrate Indiana's birthday with Joey.

"Our plan is to put streamers up around Joey's bed and move Indiana's high-chair beside her, so Joey can be part of it. So she can watch our little one eat her cupcake and rip the wrapping paper off her gifts," the songwriter and back-up vocalist in the Joey+Rory duo said.

He also acknowledged the fact that their plans could change in case Joey would not be well enough to do any activities during that day. "So with all of these plans we have, we will need to adjust for what my wife needs."
