Fans did not see much about Jessica's (Krysten Ritter) past and how she got her powers in the pilot run of "Jessica Jones," but the upcoming season may finally shed some light on that part. One of the cast members recently gave an update on the production of "Jessica Jones" season 2, confirming the show will indeed feature more flashbacks when it returns.

Liz Cappuccino, who portrayed the young version of the female superhero, shared a now-deleted photo on her Instagram account of herself during a recording session. "Quick little VO for J Jones," the actress captioned.

According to ComicBook, Cappuccino could be recording Automatic Dialogue Replacement (ADR) for her scenes in the second season. For the unfamiliar, ADR is the process of re-recording in a studio to improve the audio quality or fit over the dialogue filmed on location. However, as the actress mentioned "VO" (voiceover), she could be also recording some narrations for the flashbacks.

Cappuccino played the role of the young Jessica for three episodes in the first season. Her scenes include the tragic car accident which killed the character's family.

Marvel's "Jessica Jones" already wrapped filming on its second season. Plot details are scarce, but here are a few leaked photos from the set:

In related news, David Tennant, who played Kilgrave last season, is said to be returning for the second one. Although Ritter's character already put an end to his enigmatic, villainous character by snapping his neck in the finale, he may still appear in some of the episodes through flashbacks.

Unfortunately, Marvel is not confirming whether that is really the case or Tennant's character is still alive. It will not be surprising, however, if it turns out to be the latter.

Digital Spy notes Kilgrave's  powers have been enhanced shortly before his untimely demise; so, there is a chance he might have survived; and besides, the show started with Jessica believing his character was already dead.

Fans will have to wait for "Jessica Jones" season 2 to confirm anything.

Netflix has not given an exact release date for the sophomore run, but it is expected to hit the platform in 4K and HDR sometime in 2018.
