There have been persistent rumors saying that "Love, Simon" co-stars Jennifer Garner and Josh Duhamel are dating. Ben Affleck is apparently enraged by this development, according to several media outlets. However, there are also sources that debunk the rumor and say that the relationship between Garner and Duhamel are strictly professional.
The rumors started when several online magazines, including OK! Magazine, published stories saying that Garner and Duhamel developed a romance while on the set of "Love, Simon." Follow-up stories tell of how Garner let Duhamel meet her kids. Reports saying that the situation made Affleck angry soon followed.
Australian publication Woman's Day took it one step further by saying that Duhamel is practically living with Garner now. The magazine said that Garner's three kids,Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel, are now treated to Duhamel's cooking. There were also mentions of cuddles while watching movies.
What's more, it was reported by an "anonymous source" that Duhamel also brings Axl to join them. Axl is his son with former Black Eyed Peas member Fergie.
Woman's Day even accompanied their report with a manipulated photo that showed Duhamel, Garner, and all their children together. The photo was captioned "Josh and Jen play happy families."
Rumor-busting site Gossip Cop dismissed the reports, saying that the supposed Duhamel-Garner relationship is a "non-story." They assured readers that there is no romance going on between the two, much less shared dinners and movie nights with the children. They maintain that both people are only linked professionally because both work on an upcoming film.
Duhamel and Garner can be seen on "Love, Simon," an upcoming film to be released on March 16. It is based on a novel called "Simon v. the Homo Sapiens Agenda" written by Becky Abertalli. In it, the titular Simon is forced to balance interactions with his friends and family while trying to keep a blackmailer at bay.
The film is directed by Greg Berlanti.
