The highly anticipated wedding of Jane (Gina Rodriguez) and Michael (Brett Dier) will finally happen in the finale episode of "Jane the Virgin" season 2, but not without some glitches.

The photos for the upcoming season 2 finale have been released, and they show Jane's pristine white wedding gown. But Jane seems to encounter several problems before walking down the aisle, as one of the photos shows that Jane is comforting her father outside the wedding venue, while another shows that she and her father will be taking the public bus to get to the church for her wedding.

Showrunner Jennie Snyder Urman told Entertainment Weekly that the finale epode "Jane the Virgin" season 2 will be a big event.

"It's something we've been building to for a while," Urman stated. "We're pulling out all the stops."

She also mentioned that aside from Rogelio's wedding-related meltdown, a lot of other exciting scenes should be expected in the upcoming episode. One of them is a heartwarming moment for Rafael (Justin Baldoni), who will reportedly have second thoughts about letting Jane go because of his feelings for her. It will also feature a number of fantasy sequences, several flashbacks showing Alba's (Ivonne Coll) own wedding with Jane's grandfather, and a guest appearance by Latin-American singer Charo.

All the troubles in Jane and Michael's wedding started when they decided to change the date of their wedding.

According to the official synopsis for the episode, "After moving up the wedding day, Jane and Michael find all their carefully made plans thrown into chaos. To make matters worse, Jane is unhappy with her current graduate thesis, but changing it might put a wrinkle in her big day. Rafael still has feelings for Jane, but is torn about whether he should speak now or forever hold his peace. Petra (Yael Grobglas) has her own family drama when Anezka (Yael Grobglas) has a medical emergency and ends up in the hospital. Meanwhile, Rogelio and Xo (Andrea Navedo) are finally coming to terms with the state of their relationship until Xo gets surprising news."

The finale of "Jane the Virgin" season 2 airs on Monday, May 16, on The CW.
