More complications are heading Jane Villanueva's (Gina Rodriguez) way in the upcoming episode of "Jane the Virgin."

Carter Matt posted the official synopsis of the show's 14th episode, which reads:

"Michael (Brett Dier) is convinced that Rafael (Justin Baldoni) is helping to hide his father and puts the thought into Jane's head as well, making her grow suspicious of Rafael's recent actions. Elsewhere, Jane forces Xo (Andrea Navedo) and Rogelio (Jaime Camil) to reveal how they really feel about each other, but neither is prepared for what the other has to say. Petra (Yael Grobglas) finds a new way to torture Rafael that even he could not have imagined. Meanwhile, Jane's friends want to throw her a baby shower, but it brings up some serious questions about her and Rafael's future."

Based on the synopsis, Jane starts to grow suspicious of Rafael's actions because of Michael. Whether Michael's opinion is valid or not, it still does not change the fact that Jane may already have feelings for the accidental father of her child.

The relationship between Jane's parents will also be tackled in this episode after she asks them to profess their feelings for each other. Will Jane find her mom and dad back in each other's arms? Or are they going to hate one another after this?

Meanwhile, Petra's ruthlessness will surface in this episode as she tries to torment her former fiancé even more. Her actions could be understandable, especially since she thinks her former boyfriend left her for the mother of his still unborn child. But Rafael could not stand being with her anymore, and his relationship with Jane is not the root cause of their breakup.

This week's episode will also feature the surprise baby shower that Jane's friends help set up for her. But instead of being thrilled about the upcoming birth of her baby, the accidental mother finds herself thinking about her future with her kid's father. Is it what she really wants at this time? How about Michael?

However, Michael's relationship with his detective partner Nadine (Azie Tesfai) will become more complicated in the coming days. In a phone interview with T-Lounge, Tesfai discussed her character's future love life.

When asked about what to expect between Nadine and Jane's former boyfriend, Tesfai shared, "They're both really good detectives and they've started showing moments of them having this special bond, whatever it is, whether it's going to be romantic or not. I think right now, they're one step behind and so I think if they become a better team, they'll just get really in sync with their jobs."

"Jane the Virgin" episode 14 airs on Feb. 16.
