Rumor has it that in "iZombie" season 3, Liv (Rose McIver) and Major (Robert Buckley) will rekindle their romance, especially after all the crime-fighting they have recently been doing.
However, McIver believes that her character is not in a perfect place at the moment to patch up whatever it is that went wrong with her relationship with Major.
"It's a really complicated thing — she's grieving two dead boyfriends. It's not that easy to jump straight back in with Major," the actress told TV Line of Liv and Major possibly reuniting in "iZombie" season 3.
McIver was talking about the devastating death of Drake (Greg Finley), who took a bullet to the head from Liv's gun after Vaughn (Steven Weber) forced her to choose between him and Babineaux (Malcolm Goodwin).
For now, McIver likes that Major and Liv as friends, but she knows that "they're really great for each other and they love each other" so either "iZombie" season 3 may finally see them reunite or the pair will be the show's ultimate endgame.
This is not Liv's focus right now, however, with crime lord Stacey Boss (Eddie Jemison) already rising to power shortly after Vaughn's reign of terror permanently put to an end.
McIver also urges fans to watch out for what Vivian (Andrea Savage) might do next in "iZombie" season 3. The actress believes that she is a potential threat, especially with her plan to make Seattle "the capital of the zombie homeland."
This situation is a bit tricky for Liv since Vivian, while "dodgy" considering the things she does and says, is also one of Liv's female zombie friends. Such only comes once in a blue moon for her, which is why it will be a bit devastating for Liv if she has to be up against a pal.
Of course, it will still be good old Mr. Boss who will give Liv some major headaches in "iZombie" season 3. With a lot on her plate right now, everyone's favorite zombie may not have time for some romance.
"iZombie" season 3 was moved to midseason and will premiere on The CW early next year.
