Liv (Rose McIver) might still be entitled to a happy ending after all as "iZombie" season 3 will finally see her get together with someone who won't have to worry about the risks of being killed.

Considering the brutal fate of Liv's past boyfriends, one would automatically worry about the next person that she gets involved with. That will not be the case in "iZombie" season 3.

"Liv will have a love interest this year who does not die," executive producer Rob Thomas teased to TV Line about the main character's romantic pursuits in "iZombie" season 3.

That being said, Liv may finally enjoy a romantic relationship without having to worry about her beau being snatched away from her.

However, Thomas balanced out the good news with a bad one by revealing that Liv's relationship with this unidentified new "iZombie" season 3 love interest will only be fleeting.

"Whoever that is, the relationship won't end because of death," Thomas teased. This should be a fair warning for fans not to get too attached to the Liv's love affair in "iZombie" season 3.

As for other relationships in Liv's life, she seems to be doing well. This will be the case with her and Clive (Malcolm Goodwin). The actor teased that their connection will be "stronger" now that there are no more secrets and he now knows Liv is a zombie.

Clive will also find a way to "maximize" Liv's abilities presumably when it comes to effectively solving cases. More on the detective, it was teased there will be an "iZombie" season 3 episode that will reveal more of his past through flashbacks.

However, such backstory exploration, particularly in terms of family, is unlikely to happen with the other characters as Thomas insisted that there is "no space" for family in "iZombie" season 3 with all the things going on.

This means that those who were hoping to see Liv's dad in the new season will have to wait a bit more.

"iZombie" season 3 premieres sometime next year on The CW.
