"iZombie" season 3 will definitely be very different from the previous season. One big reason is that Liv (Rose McIver) won't be the only one eating brains and slipping into these outrageous characters.

In an interview with DC All Access, McIver revealed that while the procedural side of the show will be intact, there will be a bit of a twist for "iZombie" season 3.

"We saw the procedural elements. We have Liv eating brains and taking on characters, but other characters will be taking on characters as well so that should change the playing field a bit," the actress said.

Liv has eaten a lot of brains in the past that turned her into a grumpy old man, a singer and even a dancer. The idea of the other characters set to experience the same in "iZombie" season 3 makes McIver really excited.

With how the second season ended, Seattle became the zombie capital of the world as it is being referred to, with a whole lot of zombies to explore. McIver teased what this means for Liv.

"I also think she's gonna work out who are her friends and who are her foes, like it's a while uncharted territory for her," the actress explained.

"I think she's gonna need to keep her cards close to her chest, but obviously fight to protect her kind, the good kind," she went on to say.

"iZombie" season 3 will certainly be a whole new scene for zombies like her. A war is brewing between her and Vivian (Andrea Savage), who wants to make food out of people and nothing else, is set to take place in the new season.

Lastly, McIver also teased that there will be more humor and more storytelling possibilities in "iZombie" season 3 with people no longer in the dark about zombies.

"iZombie" season 3 premieres later this fall on The CW.
