"Itsu Datte Bokura no Koi 10 Centi Datta" or "We Have Always Been 10 cm Apart" is an upcoming anime miniseries set to air on Nov. 25.

Composed of six episodes, the anime will be based on the music videos "Hatsukoi no Ehon (First Love Picture Book)" and "Ippun Ichibyō Kimi to Boku no (Yours and My One Minute and One Second)."

A one-minute promotional video for the anime is available for viewing on YouTube. It has not yet been subtitled but it features snippets of upcoming scenes from the anime and gives fans a glimpse of what to expect in terms of character design, art style, scenery, animation, voice acting and music.

The teaser video also features scenes that depicted ordinary school life, the main characters sitting side by side and speaking to one another, and fireworks — all pointing to a typical shoujo anime about a budding relationship and young love.

The songs that the upcoming anime is based on follow a similar pattern. "Hatsukoi no Ehon" is about a girl and a boy from different classes. The teens start noticing each other and develop a friendship. The girl starts to fall in love with the boy and sings, "If I had the courage to reach the last 10 cm, I wonder if today would be different." The music video ends on a melancholic note, with the girl never expressing her feelings.

"Ippun Ichibyō Kimi to Boku no" follows the same pattern. It's also a song about a girl and a boy falling in love for the first time, about time marching on and people moving forward.

While the upcoming anime is based on both songs, it is unclear whether it will follow them closely or just use the common themes found in the songs and change it to tell another story.
