Will the market see the release of iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 after Apple launches iPhone 6 and iWatch this coming Tuesday?

Tech analyst Ming-Chi Kuo is speculating that the latest full-size version of iPad Air will also be unveiled during the big media launch scheduled on September 9.

AppleInsider has managed to obtain a copy of Kuo's research last Thursday, saying that he is expecting that an alleged "iPad Air 2" will be released by Apple together with the other highly-anticipated gadgets like the 4.7-inch iPhone 6, the 5.5-inch iPhone 6L, as well as the firm's first wearable gadget called iWatch.

However, Kuo noted that only the latest edition of iPad Air will be produced with major spec upgrades. It could mean that the upcoming iPad mini will not be given too much significant changes for this year.

Kuo, an analyst from KGI Securities, mentioned that he is expecting iPad Air 2 to feature an alleged anti-reflective screen coating, a brand-new gold-colored body casing, full lamination touch panel, as well as a next-generation A8 processor. He also believes that iPhone 5s' Touch ID fingerprint sensor, debuted with the smartphone last year, will be incorporated in the new gadget.

Kuo likewise mentioned that the next iPad mini could also be updated this year with the Touch ID fingerprint sensor, but he highly doubts more updates are being made for the 7.9-inch version of Apple's popular tablet.

The article posted by AppleInsider said, "If Apple were to release a new iPad at next week's event, it would be something of a surprise — the company is also expected to hold an October event to introduce new products. In years past, this event has showcased new iPads, including last year's unveiling of the iPad Air and second-generation iPad mini with Retina display."

Also, the analyst is not expecting to see drastic changes in the design for both iPad Air and iPad mini this year.
