A preview of the latest emoji additions for Apple devices was released prior to the launch of the tech firm's upcoming iOS 9.1 update.
The Cupertino-based tech giant will soon add new emoji icons that are based on 41 characters featured in the Unicode 8.0 update, which means that 37 new emojis as well as five new emoji modifiers will be added to all iOS 9.1-operated devices.
However, developers and those who paid to receive the beta version of the upcoming mobile operating system from Apple Inc. can already enjoy using the new emojis.
The Next Web recently revealed that almost all categories are given a new emoji character. The People category now has a hugging face, a face with rolling eyes, a thinking face, a face with a zipper-mouth, an upside-down face, a nerd face, a face with thermometer, a face covered with head-bandage, as well as a money-mouth face, among others.
The Food category also has an additional emoji lineup, including the widely requested taco and hotdog emojis, as well as a cheese wedge, burrito, popcorn, and a bottle with a popping cork. Additional animal symbols showing a lion face, a unicorn face, a turkey, a crab, and a scorpion are also added in the Nature category.
The Places category has a place of worship, a kaaba, mosque, and a synagogue, while additional Objects emoji include symbols representing a Menorah with nine branches, a cricket bat and ball, a volleyball, a field hockey stick and a hockey ball, an ice hockey stick and puck, a table tennis paddle and ball, a badminton racquet and a shuttlecock, as well as a bow and an arrow.
Also, the new line of emojis now come with the middle finger, a universal symbol for an offensive term. This symbol features different skin tones.
The rest of Apple device users will soon get their hands on these emoji icons once they run the iOS 9.1 update beginning Sept. 16.
