Just a month after Apple Inc. released the public version of the iOS 8.2 operating system, the company already came up with the latest iOS 8.3 update to offer new features as well as the latest bug fixes.
iOS 8.3 is famous for the new set of emojis that comes with it. It also has the new optimized iCLoud Photo library that can work better with the latest Photos app seen in the new Mac OS X.
But is the new mobile operating system worthy to be downloaded this early?
An article posted on Yibada pointed out several reasons why Apple users should wait a little while longer before they decide to upgrade their devices to the new iOS 8.3. These include:
Problems with several glitches, issues, and bugs – Since the new iOS update is fairly new, users can still expect to find some problems regarding the operating system's performance. According to some reports posted in the MacRumors website, several users who have already downloaded the iOS 8.3 are having problems using their TouchID when they are making purchases in the App Store.
iOS 8.x jailbreak – Users who are planning to jailbreak their iOS devices should not download the new iOS 8.3. According to iOS jailbreak developer MuscleNerd, the new iOS version came with 39 new security bugs (which have been addressed by Apple), greater than the number of security bugs present during the jump from iOS 7 to iOS 8. Also, the iOS 8.3 is rumored to block a key feature that the jailbreaking developers are currently working on to come up with a new jailbreak.
Problematic apps – Those who will download the new iOS might experience several problems when using some of the apps that are not yet iOS 8.3-compatible, such as the iFunBox, iBackupBot, iExplorer, and the PhoneView. According to MacRumors, the iFunBox developer mentioned in a Facebook post that "Apple blocked access of the entire sandbox directory of every installed App since iOS 8.3. Previously only writing is block in executable directory. Now we totally lost the control of Apps on our own devices. We are investigating the situation. Before there is a solution, iFunbox will fail to open data directory of any App if the device is not jailbroken."
