iOS 12 release date, features rumors 2018: Better notification system, new Sound Bar in next software update

Apple iOS 11 preview in different Apple devices Apple website

iPhone and iPad users are waiting for the iOS 12 launch in the coming months, in hopes that the next iOS version will bring more benefit than inconvenience unlike the current one. The iOS 12 is expected to introduce a bunch of exciting new features that will further optimize the function of Apple's latest hardware. While the impressive screen layout and design are some of the features to look at, users have been more concerned about more stable performance and improved security features.

Apple is likely to introduce new apps and system features in the upcoming iOS 12 update. No one has a definite idea yet regarding the new look of the iOS, but a concept image of the next iOS version has recently surfaced. The concept shows that the iOS 12 could highlight an all-new home screen, but the most important part of this change is the improved notification. If this turns out to be correct, users will have less effort in clearing a long list of notifications on the screen.

The concept iOS 12 screen also reveals that the names of the applications will be listed below the app icons. This could be a great addition, especially for those people who have a hard time keeping up with app names. Another interesting concept feature for the iOS 12 is the Sound Bar, which can be accessed by swiping from the top portion of the screen. The Sound Bar is where the volume controls are located, giving the users more ways on how to adjust the audio settings.

The iOS 12 update could also have the so-called Guest Mode, in which other people may access important apps such as Phone, Message or Apps, when the owner of the device is away. The Guest Mode would come handy especially in times of emergency when the owner is unable to use his device due to accident.

Apple is expected to launch the iOS 12 at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in the first week of June.
