iOS 11 jailbreak release date, news: JB tool with Cydia support now available for version 11.1.2

iOS 11 preview in different Apple devices Apple website

At long last, a working jailbreak tool for the iOS 11 is now available to the public. Electra, the first successful exploit to tweak the settings of Apple's current iOS version, has been updated recently to include the Cydia app. iPad and iPhone users were worried that Cydia, the App Store for jailbroken devices, would never make it to iOS 11, but the Electra creator has decided to bundle Cydia with the free jailbreak software for the general public's use.

It has been reported that Electra is the only functional iOS 11 jailbreak, in spite of numerous attempts of software developers and hackers to develop their own exploit. Unfortunately, Electra can be used only by developers that are knowledgeable in software building, thus leaving the regular iOS users behind. The jailbreak tool is also working in beta version, thus making it harder to become available publicly.

Nevertheless, the latest version of Electra is now packed with Cydia, and the better news is that everyone can download the iOS 11 jailbreak tool and use its features. The users should keep in mind that the working version of Electra with Cydia only supports the first iOS 11 up to iOS 11.1.2. For those who have already updated their devices to the latest iOS version, they should revert it back to iOS 11.1.2 for the jailbreak software to work.

iOS 11 users are also cautioned that the latest Electra with Cydia update may have some features that are broken. This is understandable given that the latest version of the jailbreak tool is only a few days old. Just to be safe, users should refrain from installing new tweaks and special themes from Cydia until the jailbreak creator confirms that all the app features have been successfully updated.

The latest iOS 11 Electra jailbreak with Cydia is said to work better on a device whose firmware has just been restored via iTunes. For now, there is a risk of botching up the device when the jailbreak is used, given that the firmware was only installed over the air.
