iOS 11.3 jailbreak release date news 2018: Exploit achieved in iPhone X running Cydia software

Another breakthrough in the jailbreaking business has been attained recently with the successful exploit of the iOS 11.3 being run on an iPhone X handset. Another interesting fact is that the iOS 11.3 jailbreak is performed by running the popular Cydia software. This sparked the speculations that the JB tool for the latets iOS version will be released very soon, but the users may still have to wait a little longer for that.

According to the latest reports, the iOS 11.3.1 jailbreak was demonstrated by Tencent Keen Security Labs during their presentation at Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami Beach. This latest exploit is another proof that Apple's latest iOS update still has loopholes that can be used to crack its settings. However, Tencent Keen does not appear to be interested in having their jailbreak available for public consumption.

Nevertheless, the iOS 11.3.1 exploit by Tencent Keen is significant as the jailbreak tool seems to be effective in the latest iPhone X flagship device as well. Performing the jailbreak with the use of Cydia is another remarkable feat as well, as most developers failed to use the software properly to crack the iOS 11.

On the other hand, a Chinese hacker known as Qixun Zhao made a claim on Twitter that he has also successfully cracked the iOS 11.3 using his own jailbreak tool. He even posted screenshots of his device running the jailbreak software. Unfortunately, Qixun Zhao is not expected to release a public version of the iOS 11.3 jailbreak, at least in the near future, as he only developed the exploit for the Microsoft Bug Bounty program to get a $30,000 score.

Still, the latest iOS 11.3 jailbreak from Qixun Zhao and Tencent Keen can be analyzed by other developers and hackers in order to replicate its features. It is possible that the jailbreak tool will become publicly available soon, although it must arrive quick before Apple rolls out the next iOS 11.4 update in the coming weeks.
