Hack and slash roleplaying game "Hyrule Warriors" is making a 2018 comeback. Originally released in 2014, the game will be receiving a definitive edition for the Nintendo Switch.

"Hyrule Warriors: The Definitive Edition" was announced during the Nintendo Mini Direct 2018. This latest version will contain all the content from the past Wii U and DS versions and will make all of it available in one version. Aside from that, the Switch port of "Hyrule" warriors will also come with all of the previous downloadable content (DLC) packs. These DLCs include: Link's Awakening Pack which unlocks Marin, The Phantom Hourglass Pack which unlocks cartoon Link, A Link Between Worlds Pack which unlocks Yuga and Ravio, and the Legends Character Pack which unlocks five new characters.

The definitive edition will also contain all the weapons from past DLCs.

It is a combination of all the content tha has ever been released for past "Hyrule Warrior" games. Aside from all of the old content, the definitive edition will also be getting new things for players to excited about. One of those new things is the "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" inspired updates. Players will be able to use their favorite characters from the latest Zelda game in "Hyrule Warriors."

"Hyrule Warriors" is a unique take on the usual "Legend of Zelda" game. Instead of taking after its predecessors, it deviates from the usual narrative-heavy, RPG-oriented combat found in past games in the franchise. Instead, it takes a hack and slash, "Dynasty Warrior" approach to combat.

A collaboration between developers Koei Tecmo and Nintendo, "Hyrule Warriors" puts players into Link's shoes as he hacks away at armies of enemies. The game takes place after Ganondorfs demise. A mage named Cia attempts to resurrect him, but ends up unleashing evil on the land of Hyrule.

As Cia gathers an army, Link rises to the challenge to protect Hyrule and its people.
