'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2' new trailer set release date worldwide on July 24

 Lionsgate

Lionsgate announced through a 14-seconder teaser that the second full-length trailer for "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 2" will be released worldwide on Friday, July 24.

The teaser, which was released last week, mainly features Jennifer Lawrence's character Katniss Everdeen as she leads the revolution against the tyrants from the Capitol. She is obviously more confident and more determined to take down President Snow's leadership. She is backed by thousands of district rebels who are all willing to sacrifice their lives to end the decades of oppression that they endured under the rule of Panem's ruthless dictator.

The first full-length trailer was released early in June, showing how Katniss becomes more comfortable in her role as the Mockingjay, or the symbol of Panem's rebellion.

"The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 2" is the fourth and final installment in "The Hunger Games" movie franchise. It was adapted from the young adult dystopian trilogy with the same title, written by Suzanne Collins.

Stars of the film expressed mixed emotions after filming the last scenes for the blockbuster movie franchise. In an exclusive interview with J-14, young actress Willow Shields said that their last day on the set of the movie was bittersweet yet they all feel proud of the success of the franchise. However, she confessed that saying goodbye to their characters was the most difficult part of wrapping up the film.

"I feel like the biggest thing is everybody is saying goodbye to their character. You play a character for five years and you're like, I don't want to say goodbye to this character. It's a whole other difficult thing to handle," the actress, who plays the role of Katniss' younger sister Primrose, said.

The film also features the return of other cast members on the film to reprise their roles for the last time, including Josh Hutcherson as Peeta Mellark, Liam Hemsworth as Gale Hawthorne, Woody Harrelson as Haymitch Abernathy, Elizabeth Banks as Effie Trinket, Julianne Moore as President Coin, Sam Claflin as Finnick Odair, Jena Malone as Johanna Mason, as well as the late Philip Seymour Hoffman, who managed to shoot several scenes for the film before his untimely death in 2014.

"The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 2" is slated for release on Nov. 20.
