The HTC Hima, the new flagship phone from the Taiwanese mobile phone manufacturer, is expected to come out really soon, but leaked reports about the device's specs have already been making the rounds online. One of the most recent reports showed the first images of the device, which surprisingly looks a lot like its predecessor, the HTC One M8.

But do the similarities between the two HTC flagship products end there? Here's look at the specs of the two HTC mobile devices:

Display and Dimension

The HTC One M8, released on March 2014, came with a 5-inch Super LCD3 capacitive touchscreen with 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution. It measures 146.4 x 70.6 x 9.4 mm and weighs 150 grams.

Meanwhile, the soon-to-be released HTC Hima will allegedly have a slightly bigger screen that measures 5.2-inches but will have the same pixel resolution. However, its overall measurement is still undisclosed.

Inside features

The current flagship smartphone from the Taiwanese mobile brand is equipped with either a Qualcomm MSM8974AB Snapdragon 801 chipset with quad-core 2.3 GHz processor (for the Northern American and European releases) or a 2.5 GHz Krait 400 processor (for the devices released in Asian countries). Along with that is an Adreno 330 GPU. It has 2 GB of RAM with the option of 16 GB or 32 GB internal memory that can be expanded up to 128 GB.

The HTC One M8 runs using the Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system, but it can be updated to the Android 5.0 Lollipop.

The reported HTC Hima will reportedly have a Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810 chipset with quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 & Quad-core 2 GHz Cortex-A57 processor, along with a bigger Adreno 430 GPU compared to its predecessor. It will also come in 32 GB internal memory space that can be expanded up to 128 GB, and it also has a bigger RAM of 3 GB.

According to several leaked reports, the HTC Hima will run using the Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system.

Camera

The HTC One M8 features a Dual 4 megapixel primary camera with dual LED flash and autofocus functions as well as a5-megapixel secondary front-facing camera.

The new HTC Hima, on the other hand, will have a clearer 20.7-megapixel primary dual-LED flash and autofocus functions while its secondary shooter will boast 4 megapixels.
