Android fans are eagerly awaiting the release of a couple of new high-powered smartphones that will be released by HTC in the market on Wednesday.

The unveiling event scheduled by HTC in New York, dubbed as "Double Exposure," will allegedly introduce the tech company's new line of smartphones, the HTC One M8 Eye and the HTC Desire Eye.

The company itself is busy making noise in social media sites to keep the public's excitement about the new products at a maximum level. Just recently, HTC posted a gif teaser on its Twitter account that shows the back of a mobile device that seems to be the HTC One M8 Eye, with a caption saying: "Don't adjust your screen. Just focus on the date. #HTCLive"

HTC also teased earlier that the new smartphones will don a sports camera that functions similarly with the popular GoPro action cameras.

In addition, several leaked reports have been going around online. One of these is the supposed leak of the products found on the Indian website Zauba. According to the website, the alleged HTC One M8 Eye will feature a 5-inch screen, while the bigger HTC Desire Eye will come in a 5.2-inch display.

The Indian website also announced the prices for the two cameras. According to Zauba, the HTC Desire Eye will have a Rs 21, 490 price tag, which is around $349 in the U.S. On the other hand, the HTC One M8 Eye will be sold for Rs 27, 035 in India, which is approximately $439 in the American market.

It is unclear, however, why HTC decided to send 200 units of the HTC One M8 Eye to India before the big reveal in New York.

Meanwhile, a Twitter account named @upleaks revealed the supposed specs of the selfie-centric HTC Desire Eye. The posts mentioned that the phone will have precision-clear 13-megapixel cameras at the back as well as in front. It will also allegedly have a shutter button on the left side, similar to the Sony smartphones.

HTC's product launch is scheduled on Wednesday, Oct. 8.
