HTC One M10 specs, release date rumors: HTC One M9 successor's rear leaked; device rumored to launch in April

The long-rumored HTC One M10 has once again been leaked, with the latest nugget exposing the rear of the flagship. The newly emerged image paints a picture of some of the handset's specs, particularly the primary camera.

The photos show that the shooter on the back will be protruding, which is new to the smartphone family as its predecessors going back to the HTC One M7 sported flat cameras. This suggests that HTC is going for a design breakthrough to make the flagship stand out.

Speaking of which, the HTC One M10 is shown wearing metal. On the edges surrounding the device, however, there seems to be another material used. Also based on the picture, the HTC One M10 will also boast a dual flash along with a laser-focusing module.

More on the imaging department, there were rumors that the device is getting a 12MP Sony IMX377 sensor, which should make the camera more comparable with other devices like the new Nexus 6P.

As always, the line that runs the entire width of the device just above the camera sensor is also present. However, it is noticeably slimmer, at least comparing it to the ones plastered on previous HTC offerings.

Meanwhile, a new report is claiming that the HTC One M10 will be unveiled on April 11. HTC is not calling the smartphone the way media outlets have because the Taiwan-based company is allegedly changing its naming scheme, presumably because they reached the two-digit mark.

The rest of the specs sheet is rumored to be composed of a 5-inch Quad HD AMOLED display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset under the hood and 4GB RAM. Its expected 32GB storage will allegedly be expandable. To keep it alive will be a 3000 mAh battery unit.
