HTC One M10 release date, specs rumors: Smartphone to improve from One M9

It seems like HTC wants to correct their previous lapses when they released a lackluster One M9 product this year by improving the specs of their next flagship smartphone product that is set to be revealed in 2016.

This year's HTC One M9, also called the HTC Hima, failed to meet expectations after the Taiwanese mobile manufacturer chose to provide little improvements on the product compared to its predecessors. The feedbacks claiming that the product has the tendency to overheat because of the Snapdragon 810 processor also hurt its chances to succeed in the smartphone market.

HTC CEO Cher Wang noticed the public's unwelcome reception to their product this year, which is why she reportedly apologized to all the company's shareholders during one of their most recent company meetings. Still, the CEO expressed her excitement toward the upcoming new HTC product line that is set to come out next year, which could be called the HTC One M10.

In June, GottaBeMobile reported that the CEO talked about the upcoming new product from their company and said that they will not commit the same mistakes that they made this year. The reported new "hero product" will be released to help improve the status of the company's smartphone division. The device that Wang was referring to reportedly has similar specs as Samsung's Galaxy Note 5.

Although HTC has yet to reveal the specs of their next flagship smartphone, rumors claim that the HTC One M10 could come out with an improved processor. According to reports, the company will use the Snapdragon 820 SoC, which Qualcomm revealed early this year.

Other reports claim that the alleged HTC One M10 will come out with a 64 GB and 128 GB internal memory options, a built-in 4 GB RAM, a groundbreaking 27-megapixel primary camera and 5-megapixel front-facing secondary camera, as well as a 5-inch touchscreen display with the latest 4K resolution.

HTC One M10 is also believed to be scheduled for release between this fall up to March 2016.
