HTC is apparently looking forward to offering a better device after the dismal performance of the HTC One M9.

In a recent tip posted by reliable gadget leak source Evan Blas on his Twitter account, the alleged HTC Hima Aero will be launched in the last quarter of the year. The smartphone will allegedly be carried by network providers AT&T and Sprint. It might be released by other major network providers in the U.S. as well.

While HTC has yet to confirm the latest leaked information about the Hima Aero, reports claim that it is the alleged "hero phone" that was described by HTC CEO Cher Wang last month in front of the company's investors. According to Wang, the "hero phone" will help salvage the plummeting stocks of the company because of the disappointing sales of the HTC One M9. Wang also said that the device will come out in October, and it will have a design completely different from its earlier releases.

"I am upbeat about HTC's outlook," Wang told the HTC investors. "We aim to focus on developing the right products."

At the moment, there is limited information about the HTC Hima Aero but according to early rumors, it will come with a 1440 x 2560 pixel Quad HD touchscreen display. If this report turns out to be accurate, it means that the Hima Aero will be the first product from HTC with a Quad HD screen display that can be purchased from U.S. stores.

There are also speculations claiming that the HTC Hima Aero will have the new groundbreaking Gorilla Glass 4 protection from Corning, as well as an innovative primary rear camera with f/1.9 aperture as well as RAW photography support.

HTC has yet to confirm the rumors about the alleged Hima Aero smartphone.
