Honey Boo Boo is going to be an aunt again soon.
Anna Marie "Chickadee" Cardwell, the eldest sister of former reality show star Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson, is pregnant with her second child with husband Michael Cardwell. The couple already have a daughter named Kaitlyn.
Chickadee announced her pregnancy through TMZ on Saturday, saying that she is already six weeks pregnant with baby number two.
She initially told TMZ that her mother, Mama June Shannon, was not yet informed about the pregnancy, but the matriarch also confirmed the news on her own Instagram account, saying: "Well guess who will b a gigi and aunts again in December. We will. @annamarie35 texted me late last night and told me she was 6 wks as of Thursday... congrats @annamarie35 @cardwellmichael #gigisbaby#2." The post accompanies a photo of her, her daughters, and baby Kaitlyn.
Chickadee and Mama June had a strained relationship since late last year after the controversy broke out about the latter's alleged relationship with a registered sex offender named Mark McDaniel, who was convicted for sexually assaulting Chickadee when she was only 8 years old. Chickadee also accused her mother of stealing from her savings account to purchase a car for McDaniel.
Despite patching up, it seems like the 20-year-old future mother of two still seems to be wary of her mother's judgment, reportedly saying that her mother can only visit her children when she is around. Also, she said that the only men who she can trust to be around her still unborn child will be her husband and her Uncle Poodle.
The family used to be featured in TLC's hugely popular "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" show that follows the life of young Alana before the network decided to cancel it because of Mama June's alleged relationship with the sex offender. Yet Mama June and her daughters cannot keep away from the limelight, having been involved in several issues over the past months.
Just recently Alana and Anna's 15-year-old sister Pumpkin admitted during an interview with the Inside Edition that she is bisexual, and outed that their mother is bisexual as well.
