'19 Kids and Counting' scandal: Mama June threatens to sue TLC for favoring show over 'Honey Boo Boo'

It seems like Mama June Shannon is not happy with how her former TV network is handling the Josh Duggar child molestation scandal.

Shannon, one of the stars of the now-defunct "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" reality series, expressed her disappointment on the alleged light treatment that TLC is giving the Duggar's "19 Kids and Counting," another reality show that also airs in the same network.

Last fall, TLC decided to abruptly cancel the show that Mama June starred in alongside her daughter Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson and the rest of their family. The cancellation happened when news broke out that she was allegedly dating her former boyfriend, registered sex offender Mark McDaniel, who was imprisoned for sexually molesting her then eight-year-old daughter Anna "Chickadee" Caldwell.

Mama June's lawyers told TMZ that they gave the network a demand to bring their show back on air or they will have to file a lawsuit against the network for its harsh treatment of their show compared to how it is currently treating the Duggars'.

"I will be p*ssed [if TLC does not cancel 19 Kids and Counting]," Mama June told Entertainment Tonight. "And I do have grounds for going after them, for cancelling us and wrongfully firing us and not them."

According to Mama June, the network already knew about the child molestation incident committed by the eldest Duggar child but chose to ignore it.

"[TLC] knew about [Josh Duggar] since 2006 and didn't do anything," the mother of four said. "They kept filming the show, but as soon as rumors started they cancelled Honey Boo Boo quick. I think TLC kept it quiet...TLC covered it up."

At the moment, the network has yet to announce the fate of "19 Kids and Counting" after In Touch Weekly got hold of a 2006 police report from the Springdale Police Department in Arkansas, wherein five female minors complained of sexual molestation from Josh, who was then 14 years old.

TLC did pull out all the episodes of "19 Kids and Counting" that were scheduled to air, but refused to comment if the show has been cancelled or if it will just exclude Josh from the cast.
